Can a Defendant ask for an adjournment?

A Defendant or Plaintiff can ask for adjournment on consent. If no consent between the parties, then they need to bring a motion. Don't be difficult. Typically parties consent to adjournment, unless there is compelling evidence to suggest that the Defendant/Plaintiff is dragging their feet.
