What is the deadline in which to file my claim?

If the statute of limitations (deadline within which the case must be filed) of a case expires, no case can be taken. The period of time that the statute of limitations lasts for depends on the legal claim. For example, a lawsuit for personal injury to yourself must be filed within two years of the injury occurring while a lawsuit relating to a broken written agreement can be filed within four years of the agreement being broken. You can request information regarding your deadline from the small claims advisor or a lawyer or simply proceed to court and allow the judge to make a ruling.
