    Why would I set-up different classes of shares?

    Owners of corporations can create different share structures or classes of shares. For example, class A and B shares could be created and structured with different voting rights. This could be done to either maintain control or to make the company less susceptible to takeover. The owner(s) tend to end up with the preferential voting class of shares.
