    lawTechcamp will again be holding it’s annual, free of charge event at the University of Toronto
    Faculty of Law, 78 Queen’s Park in Toronto, on May 12th, from 8 am to 4 pm.

    This year’s event offers Ontario lawyers the opportunity to obtain up to 6 hours of free CPD
    credits and has double the number of speakers for those interested in the intersection between
    law and technology, law professionals, and technology enthusiasts.

    lawTechcamp bridges the gap between technology and law communities and is organized
    by the founder and CEO of, Monica Goyal, Mitch Kowalski, author
    of Avoiding Extinction: Reimagining Legal Services For The 21st Century, and Sapna
    Mahboobani, partner at Cobalt.

    The event features a long list of well-known speakers in law and technology discussing a
    wide range of issues such as: digital legacy, knowledge management in law firms, and the the
    role of technology in the legal workforce. Some of the more provocative titles include : ‘ My
    Coworker is a Robot: The Age of Legal Informatics’ and ’Technology is Changing the
    Real Estate Transaction and Creating New Opportunities for Lawyers’. There will also be a brief
    demo of local legal tech startups.
